Business Intelligence Architect –
Healthcare industry
eScan Data Systems, Inc. is a healthcare
analytics software company located in downtown Austin, TX. Our software solution helps hospitals find
uncompensated care accounts covered by Medicaid, Medicare, TRICARE, and other commercial
insurance. eScan
has found coverage for nearly a billion dollars in uncompensated charges for
our hospital partners. We
seek a Business Intelligence Architect with
a strong problem solving / reasoning skills who can help build eScan’s Business
Intelligence solution.
The BI
Architect will provide subject matter expertise in business intelligence
analytic tools and technologies that support data mining solutions. The BI architect will build dashboards,
develop reports, and integrate the BI solution with web-based portals. The BI Architect is responsible for providing
written documentation of BI solutions in the form of business requirements,
technical specifications, system administrative guides, and end user training
and support manuals.
Candidate
should be an experienced, highly self-motivated, quick and creative thinker
with the ability to conceptualize, plan, and implement business intelligence
solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
·
Provide BI solution to analyze the success of
marketing efforts and provide pipe line analysis.
·
Build dashboards to show which products and
services are profitable in specific hospital segments.
·
Provide trend analysis of revenue and
inventory to product owners.
·
Build advanced analytical capabilities that offer
predictive analysis for revenues from different products and hospitals.
·
Build a solution that can track large amounts
of information and provide turn over ratios.
·
Build solution to help identify areas that
are underperforming and need immediate action.
·
Provide drill down into unusual revenue
patterns and hospital wise utilization patterns.
·
Provide performance benchmarks and deviation
from benchmarks through analysis.
Technical Skills:
·
Requires 5+ years business intelligence
experience.
·
In-depth knowledge of business intelligence
concepts, practices, and procedures
·
Advanced understating of relational database
principles
·
Advanced understating of multi-dimensional
analysis and design, score carding, and dash boarding
·
Ability to discover, analyze, synthesize, and
document information needed for both analytical and decision support reporting
and monitoring
·
Demonstrated strength in data analysis,
validation, and modeling in support of business requirements
·
Experience designing and constructing
metrics, standardized reports, and custom reports for BI solutions
·
Demonstrable ability documenting tools and
applications, providing end user support and facilitating training sessions
·
SQL Server – including ability to
write/optimize complex queries to address analysis questions
·
Excel – including the ability to support
analysis through use of pivot tables, cell calculations, etc.
·
Exceptional desire and ability to learn new
things that have a practical application to the business.
·
SQL Server Reporting Services and Analysis
Services required
·
SQL Server 2005/2008, including strong SQL
programming skills
·
Experience with SQL Server Share point and
Performance Point
Communication skills
·
Ability to integrate with sales or marketing
initiatives
·
Ability to interact professionally with
internal and external customers as needed
·
Intuitive communicator who is respectful and
considerate of others
Other useful experience
·
Medicaid, Medicare, TRICARE, Medigap, commercial insurance rules, policy, etc
·
Familiarity with hospital patient accounting
systems, billing office, Revenue Cycle, Governmental Reimbursement processes, etc.
This full time position is located in Austin TX. Applicant must be eligible to work in USA.
